Our Process

Getting Started

Initial Contact:

Call to discuss the individual’s needs and schedule the evaluation.

Paperwork Packet Sent:

Includes history forms, questionnaires, and teacher rating scales.

Return Completed Forms + Deposit:

Once received, an intake meeting is scheduled.

DR. CAROLINE FORD, PH.D

Director of Psychological Services

Dr. Caroline Ford has been Fairhill’s Director of Psychological Services since 2004. A former Fairhill student, she combines professional expertise with a deep personal connection to the school’s mission of supporting students with learning differences. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Austin College and her Ph.D. from UT Southwestern Medical School.

Dr. Ford provides daily student support, parent consultation, and teacher collaboration—helping ensure a safe, caring, and supportive environment where every student can thrive.

DR. CHRISTY MATTHEWS, PH.D

Director of Testing Center

Dr. Christy Matthews holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in psychology from SMU and has extensive training in psychoeducational assessment. She specializes in identifying learning differences, ADHD, executive function challenges, and related concerns. With a commitment to helping students discover their strengths, Dr. Matthews provides thorough, strengths-based evaluations and works closely with families and educators to develop clear, actionable strategies for success.
